Film by Travis Carbonella of the unveiling ceremony for Mothers, Daughters, & Sisters of the Firelight-the Women's Empowerment Mural Project inspired by the Women's March in NYC in 2016. This 18 x 106 ft collaborative mural was created with 140 volunteers from the community and was made possible with a Project Grant from the Connecticut Office of the Arts, which receives funding from the National Endowment of the Arts; William C Graustein Memorial Fund; Farmington Canal Rail to Trail Association; Newhallville Safe Neighborhood Initiative; Yale New Haven Health; Yale Office of New Haven & State Affairs; Yale Properties; REI, and 27 individual donors on GoFundMe.
