Public Art
This is the end result of the Women's Empowerment Mural Project, a collaborative mural installation orchestrated with over 140 diverse people of all ages and levels of visual fluency from the community. This work of art is located at 400 Goodrich Street on the HamdenNew Haven border on the side of the TriCon Construction Services. It is only visible from the Farmington Canal Greenway, a local bike and pedestrian path. This mural was partially funded by the following organizations: Connecticut Office of the Arts, which receives funding from the National Endowment of the Arts; William C Graustein Memorial Fund; Farmington Canal Rail to Trail Association; Newhallville Safe Neighborhood Initiative; Yale New Haven Health; Yale Office of New Haven & State Affairs; Yale Properties; REI, and 27 individual donors on GoFundMe.
